[ the problem with retrospec is that there are no guarantees. there is nothing that guarantees that daisuke won't turn into dark completely but naegi can't say that. he can't because he has hope that things won't turn out this way ]

Remember what Retrospec said? They're trying to revert everyone to who they were in their other lives. [ that's a whole other can of worms but naegi won't touch it right now. ] Dark-- he might have been part of you but he wasn't you. You were still your own person. You won't lose yourself.
[ The hold on his hand is comforting. It really is, but he can't help but to feel this awful sense of foreboding as he thinks back to one of his memories. ]

He reached his hand out to me... It was probably the other me's dream? Because I saw Dark standing in front of me. He said that the two of us might be becoming one. It felt warm... and kind of comfortable? At least, that's what the other me thought. For me, I felt... uneasy after the memory.
