[ The chair ends up breaking when it comes into contact with the clown's arm. However, the clown withdraws its arm back into the hole, letting go of Daisuke in the process. He coughs and tries to clear his throat. ]
Thanks, Chiyo...
[ He coughs again, and eyes the outside world, full of water. Water everywhere. He wonders... ]
Do you think we can somehow... ride something on top of the water outside? Maybe the desks? Do they even float...
[ She lets go of the chair once it breaks, her shoulders sag with relief, adrenaline fading. She doesn't flinch at the clatter the chair makes when it hits the floor, and she smiles at Daisuke. She did something helpful(?). ]
We can test it out with one of them? Let's barricade the door first before we try, though.
[ That should hopefully buy them enough time to experiment. ]
Sorry to ask, but could you drag the desks here? I don't really want to make you do more work than you already did, but...
[ He trails off. Even though holding the door shut by the doorknob is a simple enough task physically, it could take a toll mentally because who would want to be next to something that can kill you with a hole in the door?
Yeah.
Daisuke just hopes Chiyo is aware of this. He wouldn't mind holding the door, because he wouldn't want to subject Chiyo to that. ]
[ Chiyo's aware of it, but she doesn't know that's Daisuke's thought process. She drags one desk and then another. It's slow-going because she's far from strong, but she doesn't give up and she doesn't complain about it. ]
[ Daisuke feels so thankful right now. When Chiyo is done, he slowly lets go of the doorknob. The barricade definitely holds the door when the clown seems to slam on it in an attempt to break it down. It gives Daisuke a jumpscare because it had stayed quiet for so long.
Anyway. ]
I'll just use one of these desks...
[ He grabs a free desk and tosses it out the window, making sure that it would land upside down on the water.
[ Daisuke turns to look at the hole. The clown is peeping right through it. It's not doing anything else, but only staring through the hole. Its face has warped completely, with hollow black spaces where its eyes used to be and something looking like hands coming out of its mouth.
That's gross. Daisuke turns away and tries to cover Chiyo's line of sight by blocking the way and trying not to look too obvious. ]
What about... the window? It came off easily last time, didn't it? We can use it like a raft! ... Maybe.
[ Chiyo's not the most observant, but she had been looking at the clown and trying hard not to scream. She smiles her gratitude at Daisuke and turns to the windows. She's determined to make one of Daisuke's plans work somehow. ]
It doesn't hurt to try.
[ She puts her hands on the edge of the windows and shoves. It comes off as easily as the other window, and Chiyo watches as it falls, praying it falls flat and stays afloat after hitting the water. ]
[ Chiyo's cheer dies in her throat, and she gulps, trying to swallow her fear. Somehow, she did not think through what it meant to float on the water. She knew what the points meant, but she didn't connect them. She's a fool. ]
O-Okay. Okay. We can do this. I can do this. I-I'll go first?
[ Despite saying that, she doesn't budge an inch. She's too scared to actually go first without some encouragement. ]
[ Now that he thinks about it, Daisuke feels like he put that way too lightly for Chiyo. Oops. ]
N-No way! I won't--
[ Before he can finish that sentence, the clown completely destroys the front door with all the desks in one fell swoop. It makes a very loud noise, which really tells Daisuke that they don't have much time. ]
We'll just go together! Take my hand!
[ He looks ready to jump out the window with one of his feet on the windowsill already. ]
[ Instead of looking behind at the door, Chiyo grabs Daisuke's hand without a second's hesitation and climbs up onto the windowsill. Together is the best way. ]
Say when!
[ If they die, at least it won't be because they're starring in It. ]
[ He jumps with Chiyo. The view actually looks like nice after they jumped as if they're in momentary slow motion. However, a moment before they jumped, Chiyo could have definitely noticed that Daisuke's hair color was definitely a lot whiter than before.
Daisuke immediately disappears once they plunge into the ocean, fading into dust. What ever happened to the window? As if someone was playing a mean trick on them, it was nowhere near where they landed even though it was so obvious before that they could get there.
A giant whale with a single huge eye doesn't waste time in swallowing Chiyo whole once she's in the ocean. Before its mouth closes into complete darkness, a creepy giggle along with the sound of grinding knives is heard.

[ Her heart sinks as the desk does. What else could possibly float in a classroom? ]
If only we had a lifesaver. Or like... balloons, but there's no way I want to ask the clown.
